I Finished a Lipstick!

Hello! Today I am going to be sharing some excitement with you, yesterday I finished a lipstick for the first time!

It was a 'Mirror Shine' lipstick by 17 and was in the shade 'Belle'. This was such an easy everyday pink colour for me and went with any makeup look, which is why it got used up! As the name 'Mirror Shine' would suggest, it was very glossy and was almost like a lip gloss in lipstick form. I would highly recommend this range of lipsticks by 17 as this one was brilliant and very affordable.

The last swatch I could get out of it!

Thank you for reading! Have you ever used up a whole lipstick? Kat x

Dream Makeup Wishlist - 2015

Hello! Today I am going to be sharing some makeup products that are on my dream wishlist! I hope you enjoy!

Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette

To be perfectly honest I really just want this palette to complete my Naked Palette collection! Although I would definitely use it as I think the palette looks beautiful and very wearable!

Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick - Pink QuartzBloggers and YouTubers go on about how amazing these are all the time and I would love this shade! I think it would make a lovely rose gold sheen and would be perfect for a summery highlight.

MAC Lipliners

I have been loving using a lipliner all over my lips instead of a lipstick, and I have yet to try any MAC ones. If you have a favourite one, let me know!

Charlotte Tilbury The Luxury Palette - The Rock Chic

I just think this palette is beautiful! I have been loving more cool toned, grey eyeshadows recently and this would be perfect to add to my collection! I have heard nothing but good things about these palettes and would love to own one!

Thank you so much for reading this post, what is on your dream makeup wishlist? I hope everyone has a lovely weekend! Kat x

May Favourites 2015

Hello! Today I am going to be sharing with you the products I have been loving throughout the month of May!

The Body Shop Satsuma Body Mist

Overall I really love the smell of all Body Shop body mists as they literally smell of the exact fruit! They are especially lovely in the the spring/summer. I would highly recommend this one in particular, it smells amazing!

Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 Palette

I did a first impressions of this palette a few weeks ago and I have been loving it more than I ever thought I would! I will be doing a review of this very soon so I won't go into too much detail, but I am loving this palette for an easy everyday look.

NYC Color Wheel in 'Mocha Glow'

I have been using this product as a bronzer for all over the face and it adds such a beautiful summer glow. I will be using this throughout the upcoming months and I highly recommend this as it is also very affordable.

Soap and Glory 'Sexy Mother Pucker' Gloss Stick in 'Nudist'

This lip crayon adds so much shine and is very long lasting. If I'm ever not sure what to wear I will always go for this as it is so easy and smells like cake (always a winner with me!)

MAC 'Peach Blossom'

This is a beautiful and also easy to wear nude/peach. It feels very creamy on the lips and I just love this shade for summer!

Top Summer Makeup Picks

Hello! Today I am going to sharing the products that I am loving at the moment and will continue to love throughout the summer months!

Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream - Light

In the summer I tend to use more BB creams than foundations. I find them more comfortable on the skin and it feels like you are not wearing makeup because it is basically a tinted moisturiser. This one from Maybelline lasts well and is a great match for my skin. It also has a SPF 30 which is great for protection against the sun.

Benefit Hervana Blush

This is a gorgeous selection of colours that transforms into a pale pink sheen on the cheeks when swirled together. I really love this blush and get a lot of use from it in the summer time. These boxed blushes from Benefit also smell amazingly of roses which is a nice touch.

MAC Soft and Gentle MSF

I won't go on about this product too much as I have featured it quite a lot on my blog! I basically wear this all year round but in summer this looks especially incredible! It adds such a beautiful golden sheen to your face and makes you look sun kissed and radiant!

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette

This palette is used a lot by me in the summer. It has a gorgeous array of rose gold shades and looks especially amazing with blue eyes - which I have!

MAC Lipsticks in Lovelorn (L) and Peach Blossom (R)

I have been loving wearing these two MAC shades at the moment. They are perfect colours for the summer months and as they are less in your face they don't need topped up often. These are both very comfortable on the lips and feel like a lip balm to me!

Thankyou for reading this post! What products do you love in the summer? I would love to hear. K x

Spring NOTD

Hello everyone, today I am going to be sharing with you the colour I have on my nails at the moment!

This is Barry M 'Blue Moon' and this is a beautiful pastel baby blue colour. I love wearing this shade in the spring/summer as it is a brighter pastel which I think is perfect for this time of year. I love Barry M nail polishes and I have quite a few spring/summer shades which I am really enjoying wearing at the moment! What shades do you love to wear on your nails in the spring time? K x

My Perfect Nude Lip

Hello! Today I am going to be sharing with you the products I use to create my favourite nude lip. It slightly resembles the 'Kylie Jenner lip' more than the concealer lip look, just because that I think it suits me more.

Rimmel Lasting Finish 1000 Kisses Lipliner in 'Spice
This is the liner I apply first, this is a mauve shade with a hint of brown.
With 'Spice' lipiner on.

MAC 'Faux' Lipstick
I then apply this lipstick over the top of the lipliner to create my nude lip! It also makes it a lot more creamy and easy to wear with the lipstick over top and it makes it not as matte as a lipliner on it's own. This is again a mauve shade with a hint of brown and pink. This is my favourite nude lipstick for my skin tone.

With 'Spice' lipliner and 'Faux' lipstick.

I wear this lip combo quite frequently and I love it. I often wear pinks so it is a nice change to wear something a little more sophisticated on the lips. Thankyou for reading, what is your favourite lip combo at the moment? K x

Review: Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Blushes

Hello everyone! Today I am going to be reviewing the Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Blushes. I have had these blushes for about 5 months now and wanted to share what I thought of them with you!

L-R All I Think About Is You, Hard Day, Bang Bang You're Dead

All I Think About Is You - This is a very pretty peachy pink colour with some dark pink veining.

Hard Day - This blush slightly reminds me of MAC 'Soft and Gentle' MSF when on the cheeks. This would be a great cheaper alternative as it has those champagne/golden tones to it.

Bang Bang You're Dead - This is a blue toned pink with slight shimmer. I think this one has to be my favourite! It's perfect for a natural makeup look and I just love it!

These blushes are £2.50, which is just amazing for the quality that you get! They are highly pigmented, even more so than more luxury, expensive blushes that I own. The lasting power is also very good. Overall I would recommend these to anyone, it just goes to show that you don't need to spend a lot to get a great quality product and I think Makeup Revolution as a brand definitely show this. Thankyou for reading, have you tried these blushes before?

First Impressions: Urban Decay Naked Basics 2

Hello everyone! Guess what?! It's my blogs first birthday today! I have had such a great year blogging and hope there will be many more to come! Anyway onto the post!
I have such a problem when it comes to eyeshadow palettes, I buy them way too often and I feel like I need them all! If you love makeup and especially eyeshadow you will get where I'm coming from! I received a very exciting package the other day, and it was the Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 palette that I had ordered! Today I am going to be sharing my first impressions with you and possibly in the near future I will let you know my opinions on it!

All of the shades are matte apart from the first shade (SKIMP) which has a slight shimmer to it. I'm glad they added a shimmery colour so the palette is more versatile.

The colours seem very pigmented and creamy upon swatching. I'll just have to see how they apply and look on the eyes!

Overall my first impressions of this palette are great. It's highly pigmented, creamy, it has a good colour selection and I think this little palette will be great for everyday simple makeup and travel. I'm very excited to try this out and I'll report back to you all on how I get on with it! Thankyou so much for reading!

First MAC Eyeshadows!

Hello everyone I hope you are all having a nice Friday. I recently went on holiday and bought myself a cheeky MAC palette and two eyeshadows! I thought I would share my excitement with you!

I have already got the warm neutral palette, but I missed out on the whole customisation of colours, so I decided I would buy a palette and gradually fill it up!

L-R Patina, Copperplate

Before purchasing these shadows I read many blogposts and watched many videos on people's favourites and I ended up deciding on these two shades!

Patina is described on the MAC website as a taupe brown with golden shimmer, and this is spot on. This shadow is a frost and looks beautiful all over the lid.

Copperplate is described as a muted mid tone grey, and again this is exactly right. This shadow is a matte2 which means its matte but is really creamy. This looks lovely in the crease with patina all over the lid.

I'm so happy with the shadows I picked out and they seems amazing so far! If anyone has any recommendations for shadows I should add to my palette, let me know!

Thankyou for reading!
